Description

• Instruction and lesson planning: Create lesson plans and deliver engaging instruction based on curriculum standards. Use a variety of materials and methods, such as lectures, projects, and discussions, to teach subjects.
• Student assessment and progress tracking: Grade assignments and exams, and monitor student progress to evaluate strengths and weaknesses. Provide constructive feedback to students.

Classroom management: Establish and enforce classroom rules and policies to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Motivate students and manage behavior.

Communication: Regularly communicate with parents or guardians about a student's progress, behavior, and any challenges they may be facing.

Student support: Work with individual students to provide extra help or challenge them as needed, and help students develop good study habits.

Professional development: Stay current with educational trends and techniques, attend training sessions, and collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices.

Administrative duties: Maintain records, manage administrative tasks, and prepare for standardized testing. 

 

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• A teaching credential is necessary, which involves completing specific education coursework and passing an exam.
