Core responsibilities
Instruction: 
Present learning materials through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to a class or small groups. 
 
Student assessment: 
Create, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and tests to evaluate student progress. 
 
Classroom management: 
Establish and enforce classroom rules to maintain an orderly and safe learning environment. 
 
Student support: 
Work with students individually to help with challenges, adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles, and encourage participation. 
 
Communication and collaboration
Parent communication: 
Regularly update parents or guardians on their child's academic progress and behavior. 
 
Collaboration:

Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in education or a specific subject area is typically required.
  • Certification/Licensing: A valid state-issued teaching license, certification, or credential for the corresponding age/grade level is often mandatory for public schools.
  • Experience: Previous teaching or student-teaching experience is preferred.
