This job requires Tuesday to Saturday work schedule
 
Core Responsibilities
  • Safe Operation:
    Safely operate a bus, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. 
     
  • Route Adherence:
    Drive passengers along pre-determined routes and maintain the scheduled timetable. 
     
  • Passenger Assistance:
    Help passengers, including those with disabilities or elderly individuals, get on and off the bus safely. 
     
  • Customer Service:
    Provide information about routes, schedules, and fares, and ensure a comfortable and safe environment for passengers. 
     
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
    Perform daily vehicle inspections to check for mechanical issues, and ensure the bus is kept clean and well-maintained. 
     
Key Duties 
 
  • Conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Following a specific route and schedule.
  • Collecting fares and issuing tickets.
  • Assisting passengers with luggage or other belongings.
  • Communicating with dispatchers or other drivers about delays or incidents.
  • Reporting any vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitary condition of the bus.
Qualifications & Skills 
 
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is often preferred or required.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to assist passengers and occasionally lift heavy items.
  • Willingness to undergo drug screening and background checks.
